Britney Spears Video Game
Britney is now dancing on Playstation 2! In her video game debut
"Britney's Dance Beat", players can shake it to the tune of Britney Spears
favorite hits. The release date had been delayed a few times, but Britney's video game has finally been released May 9 2002. "Dance Beat"
adds another dimension to the existing PS2 dancing games, providing the Britney X
factor, with exclusive video and concert footage. Video game industry
insiders revealed that video game label THQ signed on Britney Spears for
PS2 Games and that Britney has agreed to make games with THQ through
2005. This could mean that Dance Beat is only the start of a series of Britney games, hurray!
Playstation 2 owners can enjoy the Britney Spears video game Dance Beat - how about the Microsoft Xbox? So far nothing is known about a possible release of Dance beat on the Xbox console. Xbox owners have an exclusive of their own though - In July 2002, the Buffy Video Game is relased for the Xbox!

Britney's Dance Beat
When you win in dancing stages of "Dance Beat", you get access to exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and concert videos, showing Britney Spears in all-new angles. A special 360-degree immersive video has been devised where the camera is user controlled, allowing you to choose any view you wish. The developers state that this "first person" perspective really gives the impression as if you were there, dancing the "dance beat" with Britney Spears on stage with you. The game supports both regular controllers and Dance Dance Revolution-compliant dance mats.

THQ has priced Britney's Dance Beat for Playstation 2 at a very competitive price, making this PS2 title very attractive even for less-than-hardcore Britney Spears fans, or fans of games like "bust-a-groove", also developed by THQ, which tests your rhythm and musicality and, like Britney's Dance Beat, also shines especially in two-player mode.
