Nintendo DS Dual Screens

The most obvious and definitely the most revolutionary feature of the Nintendo DS is its dual screens. Apart from the reality of multi view gaming (for example viewing your character from both 1st and 3rd person perspectives at the same time) offered by the dual screen feature, Nintendo also states that games could be created allowing you to play games on one screen while sending text messages on the other!

Nintendo DS Touch Screen Technology

The lower screen of the Nintendo DS is actually a touch screen and can be used with the included stylus that is stored in the back of the unit, or alternatively with just a fingertip. The touch screen can be used for scribbling notes, drawing pictures, chat sessions and of course controlling Nintendo DS games!

Wireless gaming with the Nintendo DS

The inbuilt wireless networking features of the Nintendo DS mean that you can connect with a local wireless network of up to 16 players and play your Nintendo DS games against each other. Nintendo DS Multiplayer gaming requires just one Nintendo DS game card.

Playing Gameboy Advance games on the Nintendo DS

The Nintendo DS features a special port for Game Boy Advance game backward compatibility. This means that Game Boy Advance games can also be played using the Nintendo DS!
