What is online gaming?

Online gaming refers to playing video games over the internet. Gamers use their internet connection to connect to a game server that is responsible for facilitating the simultaneous game action of multiple players that can be physically located on opposite corners of the world. Different types of games exist that allow for cooperative gameplay or for competitive gameplay, allowing players to measure their skills against each other.

For owners of the original PS2 console, the Network Adapter provides a hybrid method of connectivity, providing a choice between a 56k modem and a 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet connection.

For the best gaming experience you will need a broadband Internet connection such as DSL or cable. Broadband has the advantage of fast access and fast download speeds that is essential if you want to have a responsive gaming experience.
