Just about 1:20pm EST, Dec. 1st, I checked Amazon's web site and found the PS2 Family Pack available to order (it said usually ships in 1-2 weeks). I went through the process of ordering and the web page froze when it was trying to login into my Amazon customer account. I then tried to go back to the web page and look at the availability and it said out of stock.I have since tried to access their web page, but right now I can't get in. It seems to be down or huge traffic is causing problems. I was SO CLOSE. Thanks for letting me know where to look. This was the closest I ever came to ordering it. -Derek

Just wanted to thank you for this site. Logged on to Walmart.com about an hour ago (Nov 30) and couldn't believe my eyes! Their Playstation2 bundle was there without the "out of stock" notice. I added to my cart & went back to check the Playstation2 bundle again, but this time it said "out of stock". I quickly went to my cart and ordered the one I had added & completed the process w/ an order number. Keeping fingers crossed. This station was for a friend. My daughter purchased one for herself through Amazon on Nov. 24th thanks to this site. Nightprsn

Thank you thank you most of all for your site and status page. Your tip for Amazon was great. I've been searching for weeks for PS2. I stayed on Amazon all day today. They got tricky - their site shut down just before noon. They came back but the page didn't work if you tried the refresh button. I kept trying other links, got on, and there it was! Thanks for posting up the information on PS2 availibility. I tried to go after one of the PS2's that they had on amazon.com. I stayed up all night and kept refreshing the page just in case it was posted. Finally it showed up on the screen and I tried to purchase it fast, but after I clicked add to shopping cart it told me it was sold out in seconds. In thirty seconds!Thats b/c amazon.com isn't limiting one item per customer, and these rich punks are buying them and turning them around, jacking the prices up to a thousand plus. I finally got the PS2 from ToysRUs. Check with them on Monday around 11:30 EST. Was told by the manager that they are getting 4 per week. Condition is that you have to buy an accessory. Manager told me that Sony will ship as long as accessories are being sold also. Buy the a/v cables for 4.99!
ToysRUs and WalMart in upstate NY both recieve their shipments on Monday. Walmart is currently recieving 9 per week. (Nightrunner1)

I've been one of the unlucky ones who hasn't been able to find PS2 anywhere. I've been frantically looking for it everywhere for my fiance for Christmas. I've been calling stores every day, but with no luck. When I called my local Kay-Bee Toys, they were pre-ordering bundle packs that are guranteed by Dec. 31. They said something about other states not selling as well and they gave a lot of pre-orders to stores in California. Just a tip to pass on to your readers. They may want to try Kay-Bee Toys. I really appreciate the way you are helping people dig up PS2s. Personally, I have had about 7 different sad stories to tell and no PS2 to show for each of them. Anyhow, I just stumbled on your site today and signed up for the mailing list. I will probably be on Amazon.com all day Friday to try to get one. I don't know what my chances are though. Hi I was one of the lucky ones to get one this time around. What I suggest for people to do is listen to your advice on what day the stores are likely to get them in and go to AMAZON.COM and go to the order page. It should say Not Available but keep refreshing every 10 MINUTES. Then it should soon say DO YOU WANT TO ADD TO YOUR CART. Good Luck Everybody. Lucas, Wisconsin

I was successful in getting my ps2 last night at around 6:30 eastern time. I got it from amazon.com. Thank you for the email. I saw that at just before 5:00 you sent an email saying that amazon.com still hadn't put theirs up for sale yet. BDG
