I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful service you're offering. I was
able to purchase a PS2 from Movie Gallery today. My children will be
ecstatic. I called customer service and was told that the PS2's are new,
in-stock and will be shipped as soon as your credit card is approved. I was
also told that I would receive an e-mail confirming my order was approved and
the tracking number of the shipment. I hope this information is helpful and
again, my many thanks for making this Christmas so special. Laurie
Hi, Just a note of thanks for the invaluable service you have provided me in
just one day. As one of those who pre-ordered a PS2 from Gametek/ps2cart.com, I was
wondering why my order hadn't arrived and why their website was down. Thanks to you,
now I know the answer. Using your link, I filed the victim's report with the Fountain
Valley Police. I was also able to order a unit today thru your link to moviegallery.com.
Now I feel so much better! Keep up the good work, and thanks again! Sincerely, J.N.
Thanks for the heads up on this, after about an hour of refreshing and waiting for moviegallery.com to
process I FINALLY got my order to confirm. I also talked to the company itself and the lady on the
phone said they DO have these in stock and will be shipping them out on the next few days
after they have confirmed the billing address on the credit card matches the one
entered on check out. Seth H.
Well after several months of looking and calling and asking and waiting. Months of apprehension and
cursing of the home PC and luck in general I was finally able to get one of the elusive PS2s
albeit at a very big price. I went to the Movie gallery.com site and sat through 20 minutes of
refresh and reload as the LAN at worked worked its way through the congestion that they suffered
of those who were suddenly interested in becoming new members. But hey its all good even if the
closest place for me to get those free 36 rentals is 84 miles away. At least I have one so now
I can quietly snicker as I walk into the various Gaming stores and see all the would be PS2
owners drool over the holy grail of gaming systems. One final note, Im going to keep on the heels
of the top secret X box so I dont miss my chance at that one. It should prove to be the mother of all gaming systems but we shall see if 'ol billy boy is pulling our leg as usual.
Thanks for the tip and I shall continue to stay informed through your great newsletter. Antheraxia
On the ps2 bundle for Console + 36 free rentals for $499.99. Is it
really that expensive? Each free rental is valued
at $4.99 for 5-day rental. So the 36 free rental is worth about $180.
The premium appears to be just $20. It
appears to me that the main effect is the use of the console to sell
game rentals. If you own the PS2 console you need
games, bought or rented. Or am I missing something? That is my
rationalization for ordering one. I received
confirmation of my order, but still waiting from shipping info.
Keep up the good work. Regards D.D.
Hi, I was able to purchase a playstation2 from Movie Gallery today. I read your
email and went to their site. I took my sweet time 'cause I wasn't sure I
wanted to spend that kind of money but everything went thru. It's on it's way
to NH. I did call the customer service department and they did verify that
they are new! They put them up as used for consignment reasons. I also wanted
to check as to what their return policy was, 30 days from purchase date if
not completely satisfied, full refund. If it's damaged there is no
replacement available, again full refund. I'm still overwhelmed by the price.
I will keep looking for a cheaper one with more to offer than rentals. I did
go on "ebay". Anyone unable to find a playstation2 that really wants one
should check it out. The prices don't seem to be that bad. Good luck to all!
Sorry I don't seem too please to have gotten my hands on one but I would have
rather spent $300 verses $500. Cindy
